Celebrating 90 Years of People Helping People
Join us in commemorating a remarkable journey of 90 years, where financial dreams become reality.
AgFed was founded in April of 1934 as the Agriculture Employees Credit Union of DC with only 20 members and $59.75 in assets. In the midst of the Great Depression, Department of Agriculture employees bonded together in the cooperative spirit that the credit union movement is about: "people helping people".
Today, AgFed is open to much more than Department of Agriculture employees. We have grown to nearly $360,000,000 in assets, over 25,000 members and have added a number of convenient electronic services to provide quick and convenient banking to members throughout the country and abroad.
From our humble beginnings to the present day, AgFed has been a constant in the ever-evolving financial landscape. From the Great Depression to the digital age, we’ve stood by our members offering stability, trust and innovative financial solutions. Looking ahead to the future, our vision is still grounded in the cooperative spirit of "people helping people".
AgFed's 90th anniversary is not just a celebration of the past, but a commitment to a vibrant and prosperous future together. Thank you for being part of our incredible journey. Here’s to 90 years of trust, integrity and community spirit. Join us as we continue to build a stronger financial future together!
